The Critique with Eric Hope November 16th

The Critique

Please join us for the November installment of our ongoing series The Critique. An invited special guest critic will lead us in a discussion of the work of 2 artists. We'll see slides, see actual work, and talk about the ideas the artists are conveying and attempting to convey.

Guest Critic: Eric Hope
Eric Hope is a curator and writer based in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC. He moved to the District in 1997 and a twist of fate found him a volunteer marketing job at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. In 2009, after ten years of marketing work at large museums in DC he moved to the realm of curating, staging a variety of solo, duo and small-group shows for the Evolve Urban Arts Project. He is currently a Senior Contributor at East City Art where he regularly profiles artists and critiques local exhibitions. Originally from Missouri, Hope holds degrees in International Relations and Public Service Administration from DePaul University in Chicago.
