The Critique with Deirdre Ehlen MacWilliams May 11th

The Critique with
Deirdre Ehlen MacWilliams

Wednesday May 11th
6:30-9:00ish

Another installment of The Critique!
We've been having such a great time with this monthly event. I hope you've been, but if not, please come!

We will show the work of 3 artists and have an invited arts professional guide us through talking about the work. There will be actual and projected jpgs of the work. Our aim is to intelligently discuss the work, pointing out strengths and flaws in the pieces, and providing a suggested guidance for the future.

We would like to invite everyone that is interested in hearing this conversation about specific works of art to sit in on The Critique. The conversation is meant to be critical, and constructive. We aim to discuss what works, what doesn’t work, and to lead the artist towards possible resolutions and developments.

Our Guest Critic this month is Deirdre Ehlen MacWilliams, a Curator and Independent Consultant for Temporary Public Art and the Public Art Project Manager for Arlington County. Deirdre was the producer of 5x5 in 2012 and 2014, the curator of Georgetown GLOW and of the Foggy Bottom Sculpture Biennial in 2012.

Our Guest Artists will be
Kathryn McDonnell
Jeff Huntington
Alan Binstock
